As a doctor I believe it is important that my patients have clear expectations of how their recover is likely to progress after surgery.   The links below will take you to a pdf file describing the typical rehab for your particular surgery.  It is important to understand that no two patients are the same and your recovery progress may vary from the outlines below which are intended to serve as a guideline.  Feel free to ask me in clinic if your recovery or rehab is likely to vary from the outlines below.

 

My goal is to get you back to the activities you love as quickly and safely as possible!  Remember, your physical therapist and I are there to guide and support you in your recovery, but it is up to you to put in the work both during your sessions at PT and at home on your own time as directed.
